The Somalia Unit of the United States embassy in Nairobi presented uniforms and sports balls to several youth football and volleyball teams in the Dadaab refugee camps on November 16, 2009.
Somalia Unit representatives praised the youth for their efforts to incorporate conflict resolution and peace education practices into their football matches, demonstrating skills that will be vital to achieving peace and stability in their homeland.
The Somalia Unit visitors noted that they look forward to continuing to support similar leagues both in the camps and inside Somalia.
